Our New Patient Appointment goes far beyond a standard dental check-up. Every detail is designed to help you understand the full picture of your oral and overall health — giving you clear, personalised insights to make confident decisions about your care.
- Full Mouth Examination – We carefully check every tooth and surrounding area for signs of decay, wear, or disease. This includes your gums, tongue, lips, and cheeks.
- Jaw Joint & Bite Analysis – We assess how your teeth bite together and look for signs of grinding or tension that can cause jaw pain, headaches, or muscle strain.
- Digital Smile Design (DSD) – Using photographs and short video, we help you visualise your ideal smile — seeing how your teeth look when you talk and smile naturally.
- Gum Health & Oral Cancer Screening – Annual screenings detect early signs of gum disease and oral cancer, often before symptoms appear.
- 3D iTero Scan – See what we see. This advanced scan creates a detailed 3D image of your teeth and bite, helping identify early issues such as erosion, cracks, or decay.

Our new patient assessment is unlike a routine check-up. It’s a 90-minute, clinician-led consultation that includes a full-mouth examination, 3D iTero scan, gum and oral cancer screening, X-rays, and Digital Smile Design preview. It’s a complete picture of your oral and overall health — not just a snapshot — giving you answers, confidence, and a long-term plan.
How long does the appointment take?
Typically around 90 minutes. We allow extra time so we can listen to your concerns, gather detailed digital records, and ensure every question is answered without feeling rushed.

Will I get treatment on the same day?
If something urgent is found, we’ll do our best to address it straight away. Otherwise, your dentist will create a tailored plan and schedule any further visits around your needs and diary.
