We know there can be apprehension before a dental appointment, so offer spa treatments on-site to alleviate stress and discomfort. These include essential oils, lip balms and complimentary toothbrushes. We also provide soothing music, TV screens and dark glasses for use during your appointment.
We understand that for some people a visit to the dentist can be a cause of increased anxiety – sometimes due to a childhood memory. We also know that smell is the closest linked sense to memory, and so part of our Dental Spa care is to minimise products that may represent the ‘typical’ dental smell of the past. We use tools such as aromatherapy and baking bread to create more homely, relaxing smells in the practice, and whilst we never compromise on cleanliness, we source products for the clinical areas that have pleasant aromas!
We can offer anti-anxiety medication to take before your appointment, anaesthetic creams before injections to ensure that you feel no discomfort and are always happy to pause to give you a short break from treatment if requested.

Dr. Elaine Halley graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1992 and achieved membership of the Royal College of General Dental Practitioners in 1995. She is a founder and past president of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and an accredited member of the International College of Dentists.

Dr Leighton qualified as a dentist in 2014 from the University of Aberdeen where she studied Physiology (BSc Hons 1st class) and Dentistry. She is committed to developing her skills to benefit her patients and has undertaken additional training in communication, Invisalign and a postgraduate certificate in cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry.
Dr Leighton’s aim is to provide the highest standard of care whilst ensuring patients are comfortable. As a former patient to the practice, Dr Leighton understands the value of a confident smile and wants to help our patients achieve the same.
