Dr Elaine Halley attended the inaugural conference of the Digital Dental Society UK at The Design Museum in London on the 24th of May. She is honoured to have been asked to be a founder member of this UK branch of the European Society which was founded in Germany.

 The conference covered everything from how digital scanners work as an alternative to impressions, through to advance surgical dental implant planning.

Using the Itero Digital Scanner we can take images or pictures of your teeth, without radiation, by building up a computerized 3-D image of your mouth. This keeps a very accurate record of all tooth surfaces and lets us see the teeth from all directions, in a way that is difficult inside your mouth!

Digital Technology allows digital smile design to plan for very natural porcelain veneers and crowns, as well as more accurate records to make implant restorations and even tooth straightening with Invisalign.

Dr Halley has been asked to lecture in Berlin for the Align Technology Summit, where she will be sharing the experiences that we have had in Cherrybank Dental Spa with introducing digital planning into our diagnosis and communication.
