What is an anti-wrinkle treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are injected beneath the skin to eliminate wrinkles by relaxing the muscles of the face.

This treatment helps to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth, at the corners of the eyes, and on the forehead.

These treatments are safe and have been used on millions of patients worldwide.

Most people are good candidates for wrinkle reduction treatments. If you are pregnant, taking certain medications, or have specific conditions, some treatments may not be suitable for you.

Many of our patients find that our wrinkle-reducing treatments are great alternatives to invasive plastic surgery procedures such as facelifts or eye lifts.

Although the treatment is temporary, it does eliminate wrinkles for up to six months. It can be repeated to maintain the desired effect.

How are anti-wrinkle injections used?

Anti-wrinkle treatment is commonly used to treat muscles of the upper portion of the face. Lines form in three main areas; horizontal forehead lines, vertical lines between the eyebrow, and crow’s feet around the eyes. It is these lines that become permanent as we age.

Treating these muscles with injections prevents them from working so hard that they create severe static lines. Static lines are when they become apparent, even when there is no facial expression.

It is achievable to prevent lines from becoming permanent as we age. They cannot appear if we don’t constantly crease our skin. Like the material linen – once a crease is made time and time again, the material marks and holds that crease.

The safety profile of anti-wrinkle treatment is excellent and well documented in its use for over 20 years.

The treatment is not a poison. It is an isolated, purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscle. The effects of anti-wrinkle treatment last for around three months. The muscles return to their original strength when not re-treated.
